Last year we decided to purchase season tickets with our friends Shawn and Shauna for the Hawkeye football games and are continuing the tradition this year! When we learned that we were going to have a baby by the time this football season came around we contemplated not buying tickets, but soon realized that this would be great grandparent time for Owen and great Mommy and Daddy time for Kevin and I. The first game of the year was this past weekend and it could not have been a better day for football......74 and sunny!! We had a blast tailgating with the Kerby's and a few others in our usual location in the dental lot (Kevin and Shawn feel at home there I think;-). The game ended up being a blow out against Eastern Illinois, but was still a great time. We are looking forward to the rest of the season......GO HAWKEYES!!!!!
